What is Rewind Reels?

Rewind Reels for Salesforce automatically turns your Salesforce data into short, narrated video summaries — no recording, no editing, no production work required. You define what data matters (pipeline, cases, donations, revenue — anything in Salesforce), and Rewind Reels pulls that data, writes a professional narration using AI, and generates a polished animated presentation — typically ready within 30–60 seconds.

Common use cases

  • Weekly sales pipeline recap for your team
  • Executive pipeline summary for leadership
  • Donor impact reports for nonprofits
  • Support metrics roundup for service teams
  • End-of-quarter business reviews shared via link

The Rewind Reels Dashboard

The Dashboard is your home base for all Rewind Reels videos. You'll find it in the Rewind Reels tab or embedded in your Lightning pages.

Quick-stat tiles

  • Your Tier — current subscription level (Free, Starter, Professional, Enterprise)
  • Renders This Month — videos generated, with a usage bar
  • Videos Created — total library count

Video table

Each row shows the video title, preset type, generation date, status, view count, and action buttons. Click any row to watch the video inline.

Creating a Video

Click New Video in Rewind Reels Studio. The wizard walks you through four steps.

Step 1 — Choose a Preset

Presets are pre-built templates optimized for specific Salesforce products and audiences.

Sales Cloud: ExecutiveHigh-level KPIs for leadership
Sales Cloud: TeamRep-level pipeline for team meetings

Revenue CloudSubscription and revenue performance
Financial ServicesAUM, client activity, advisor summaries
Tip: To edit an existing configuration instead of starting fresh, use the Edit an Existing Configuration dropdown at the top of this step. All saved settings will be pre-filled for you.

Step 2 — Delivery Options

  • Period Label — the time frame your video covers (e.g., "Q1 2026", "Week of March 3")
  • Video Length — Quick (~30s), Standard (~50s, default), or Deep Dive (~90s)
  • Tone — Professional, Motivational, or Analytical
  • Audience — who the video is for (affects narration style)
  • Custom Prompt — optional extra instruction to the AI (e.g., "Emphasize deals closing this week")

Step 3 — Custom Prompt (Optional)

Add any specific instructions for the AI narrator. Leave blank to use the default narration style. Examples: "Focus on deals at Proposal stage or later" · "Highlight our top 3 reps by revenue" · "Keep the tone upbeat — we had a great month"

Step 4 — Review & Generate

Review your selections. Click Generate Video. Rewind Reels queries your Salesforce data live, the AI writes a narration, and the video is generated — typically 30–60 seconds. Videos are rendered as animated HTML presentations, so there is no waiting for video encoding. You can close the Studio and check back shortly.

Sharing Videos

Every completed video gets a unique, permanent share link. Click the Share icon next to any complete video to copy it to your clipboard. Recipients can watch without a Salesforce login.

Note: When you paste a share link into Slack, Teams, or email, a rich preview appears automatically with the video title, a branded thumbnail, and a description.

View tracking

Every time someone opens your share link, the view count in the Dashboard increments. No action needed — it's automatic.

Scheduling Automated Videos

Important: Scheduling requires Starter tier or above.

Scheduling lets you generate videos on autopilot — no manual action needed after setup.

Setting up a schedule

In Rewind Reels Studio, under Delivery Options:

  • Enable the Schedule toggle
  • Choose a cadence: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Quarterly
  • For weekly: choose the day of the week (Monday–Sunday)
  • For monthly/quarterly: choose the day of the month (1–28)
  • Optionally, enable Send Email on Complete and add recipient addresses

Editing an existing schedule

Go to Rewind Reels Studio, use the Edit an Existing Configuration picker to select your config, update the schedule, then click Save Config on the Review step.

Video Analytics

Important: The analytics dashboard requires Enterprise tier. Basic view counts are available on all tiers.

FAQ & Troubleshooting

Why does my video show "Failed"?

  • The API key is invalid or expired — go to Admin Settings and verify your key
  • Your monthly render quota was reached — check the usage bar in the Dashboard
  • The selected data returned no records — try broadening your filter criteria
  • A temporary backend error — click Refresh and try generating again

How long does generation take?

Most videos are ready in 30–60 seconds. The AI narration step takes the bulk of the time. Videos are rendered as animated HTML presentations in the browser, so there is no video encoding wait. The Dashboard auto-refreshes while a video is generating.

Can I delete a video?

Yes — click the Delete icon next to any video that isn't currently rendering. Deleted videos are removed permanently.

Who can see my videos in Salesforce?

Only users in your org with the Rewind User or Rewind Admin permission set can see videos in Salesforce. Anyone with a share link can watch — no login required.

What Salesforce data does Rewind Reels access?

Rewind Reels reads data based on the selected preset (e.g., Opportunities, Activities, Accounts for Sales Cloud presets). Data is sent securely to the Rewind Reels rendering backend over HTTPS, used to generate narration and graphics, then discarded. No Salesforce data is stored permanently on Rewind Reels servers.
